Hey Y'all! Let me tell you a little about who I am. I'm a follower of Jesus, an activist, a writer, a coach, and (obviously) and actor. I found my love for theatre at the age of 6, when I saw Annie for the first time; and a couple of years later, I got to put on the red wig myself. Breaking the mold even before the age of 10! From that moment, I knew that performing was not just a passion, it was a necessity, and my family knew it too, being that I was always giving a full concert of show tunes around the house.
As a Black women in this industry, I have seen a lot of bias and racism in my career. I know there is a generation of artist that are ready to step up and change that. Even in a way that my generation can't. My goal as artist is to create art that continues to challenge the industry to seek true diversity, equity and inclusion. As a coach, my goal is nurture the generation after to me to advocate for themselves and shift the nature of the industry forever. My grandmother always trained me to "sing with feeling" and to always "go for the gusto" and never give anything less than my best performance, which is something that I have carried with me for my entire life. The passion and resilience that she instilled in me is unmatched, and I hope to do the same with all of my clients. I have been performing for all of my life and I continue to "go for the gusto" and my love for performing grows deeper daily. I choose to honor my grandmother's memory by striving for excellence and to instill the attitude of excellence into everyone I coach.
